Course Content

The Confined Space Entry & Rescue course prepares you to work safely in confined spaces by combining expert instruction with realistic scenario-based training. Many workplace injuries occur due to a lack of awareness in these environments. This course closes that gap, teaching you to recognise hazards, use gas detection and breathing apparatus, and carry out safe entry, work, and rescue procedures—all in a purpose-built, life-like training structure. You’ll cover the following key topics:

Confined Space Awareness

Understand what constitutes a confined space, typical hazards, and risk mitigation strategies.

Legislation & Responsibilities

Review relevant health and safety regulations, including roles and duties under confined space entry rules.

Gas Testing & Atmospheric Monitoring

Learn how to test for oxygen deficiency, toxic gases, and explosive atmospheres using gas detection equipment.

Permit-to-Work Systems

Understand safe systems of work and the importance of entry permits for confined space tasks.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Use and limitations of PPE, including harnesses, respirators, and fall arrest systems.

Rescue Techniques & Equipment

Hands-on training in rescue procedures, including tripod use, winches, and stretcher extractions.
