The birth of Maersk Training
Maersk Training was established in 1978, following an incident caused by human error. The accident highlighted the need for better training, something that could have prevented the event. At Maersk, where our core value is "no loss should hit us which can be avoided with constant care," this was unacceptable.

A commitment to improvement
The incident was a turning point, leading to the creation of Maersk Training with a commitment to prevent such accidents through rigorous and ongoing training.
