Purpose of GWO WLA

Essential Information

Prerequisites

Pre-requisite for the WLA Offshore is the WLA Onshore, which takes place during the morning (08am-12pm).

Who is it for?

Individuals making occasional visits offshore (up to six times per year)

Technicians, inspectors, or visitors without regular offshore duties

Anyone needing limited access to wind turbine generators (WTGs)

Assessment

Participants are assessed through practical tasks and active participation in group discussions.

GWO certificate issued upon completion Validity: 2 years

Offshore wind safety introduction

Fire awareness and emergency procedures

Safe vessel-to-turbine transfers

Use of PPE and fall protection

Controlled descent and evacuation

Sea survival techniques

    Upon successfully completing the course and passing the assessments, you'll receive your official certification from Maersk Training or the relevant accreditation body.
